TOP CARE

In addition to the care instructions found on the inside tag of many items, there are additional tips that can be adhered to for keeping clothing looking new and fitting well for years. There are different tips for each type of material. Every shirt and blouse will contain it’s own blend of materials and will respond to different types of care better than others.

Wool or Knit Blend
- A knit blend top or sweater should be stored folded in a dresser or on a closet shelf, instead of on a hanger in a closet. This will ensure that the item does not pull the knitting over time and cause stretching.

Cotton Blend-Cotton blend tees can be dried flat, instead of in a dryer. Most care tags will include information for drying in a dryer. While this will not damage the item, it will cause the lifespan of the shirt to be much shorter. To avoid unnecessary wear, dry these items by laying them flat.

If the items to have trouble drying by laying flat, they can be put in the dryer on a low heat cycle for a short amount of time before being set out to dry completely.

Dry Clean Items-Items that require dry cleaning should be worn more than once before they are taken to a dry cleaner. To help these shirts to stay looking great and fresh between wearing them, they need to be hung immediately after they are worn. They can also be placed in a short dryer cycle, without heat and with a scented dryer sheet to keep them smelling fresh.
