ACCESSORIES CARE

Many accessory items cannot be washed easily. It is best to use extra care with these items to prevent soiling or damage. Each item requires different type of care and there are tips to keeping sunglasses, scarves, and belts in tip-top condition.

Sunglasses-
Sunglasses can become damaged easily. When you are not wearing your sunglasses, they should be stored in a hard case or a soft sleeve. A soft sleeve should be used to wipe dirt and smudges off of the glasses. Other materials may cause the sunglasses to become scratched, which cannot be corrected or fixed.

Scarves and Neck wraps
- Scarves and shawls are worn as outerwear and can come in contact with wind and water. They can often be hand washed. Hand-wash these items with a gentle cleanser and hang or lay them flat to dry. When they are not being worn they should be stored in a drawer or a shelf. They should not be hung on a hanger because most scarves are knit. Hanging knit materials will cause the item to stretch and look worn.

Belts- Belts should never be worn tightly. If you are uncomfortable in your belt, it is too tight. Wearing a belt at a setting that is too tight will cause the material or leather to become stretch. A belt that is worn too tightly can even become ripped, which is unattractive and embarrassing.
