 Too smallFeb 24, 2010
I am a pretty small person, 5 feet tall, I have pretty normal legs. My roommate has dancer's legs and always has trouble with boots, I never have. It stands to reason that I was suprised, after reading reviews that said that people had to order a size smaller, to receive a boot that would not zip up even halfway up my calf. My boyfriend tried it on his forearm and it was uncomfortably snug. I wear a 6, 6.5 and I ordered a 7 because I like to wear big socks when its cold. I don't know if the specific boots I receieved were not correctly sized or if others who have bought them are tiny and lacking muscle in their legs. I would not be surprised if you have to return these if you buy them, and you will probably pay for return shipping, so beware.

I get compliments on theses boots every time I wear them. The back of the heal was a little stiff, but if my socks are thick enough, it's not a problem. They are super comfy and I love to pet them.

I saw these boots and fell in love. Unfortunate for me they didn't fit around my calves. I don't have problems in general finding boots that fit around my calves but these made me feel like I was 50 lbs over weight and FAT.
Cute as they are, they were a major disappointment. They're going right back. :(

I searched high and low for some black lace up winter boots that are both cute/dressy, AND functional (as in, please no 4" heel when I'm trying to muck through 4' of snow!). These boots are perfect!
They took a few times to get them broken in (the first time I wore them, I had blisters on the outsides of both my ankles - ouch!). As other reviewers have pointed out, they are a bit skinny in the calf. However, I wear them with thick socks and my jeans tucked into them, and they don't cut off my circulation. They are snug and warm, like they should be, IMO.
I live in Flagstaff, AZ, where we get bunches of snow - I've been using these as my primary snow boot to get through 4+ feet of snow, plus walking back and forth to work when I can't dig my car out, and they are doing a great job. Like I said, functional AND cute.
As far as size is concerned, I usually wear a 7.5 shoe - I ordered a size 8, and they fit fine. They seem like a normal size 8 to me, which is slightly large, but they are a snow boot and I wear thick socks with them anyway, so it's no problem.
I've been wearing them a few times a week for 5 weeks now, and have noticed no problems with quality. My zippers work great, fur is not falling off, etc. I love them!

These are really cute and I wish I had small calves. They zip up the back but don't tie like they appear.
